CAD/CAM

CAD/CAM (computer aided design/ computer aided manufacturing) technology has an important role in aesthetic dentistry and prosthodontics today. Owing to this technology, dentures are made of aesthetic ceramic materials today in one patient’s visit and the precision of this system allows a perfect fitting.

CAD/CAM is based on 3D technology and computer-designed work and it results in highly sophisticated and aesthetically perfect solutions for dentures. A prepared tooth is scanned directly in the oral cavity by the CEREC camera. Please note that during this procedure very precise recordings of the preparation margin are made, which is a key success factor.

By inserting additional data into a computer, necessary corrections are made and the production process begins immediately in the surgery, and/or the patient can be implanted the denture within 1-2 hours and immediately cemented.

Dentures may be veneers (facets), onlays, inlays, crowns and smaller bridges. In our dental surgery we use CEREC's blocks made of the highest quality ceramics currently offered at the market. They are available in a wide range of colours and various sizes which ensures high aesthetics and minimum polishing. All of these materials are biocompatible, clinically tested and long-lasting; produced by renowned companies such as Vita Zahnfabrik, Ivoclar Vivadent and Sirona.
